Muscle Relaxants For Back Pain

WWE star Greg “Hurricane”  Helms was caught with a single muscle relaxant in his possession when he was arrested on January 27, 2010 along with fellow WWE wrestler Chris Jericho in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky after leaving the bar. Both Helms & Jericho were given tickets for public intoxication & released after each posted a bail bond of $120.

According to the police report, ”a search of Helm’s purse revealed one white round pill” which turned out to be a Soma – the generic version of the muscle relaxer Carisoprodol high on abuse potential & a “schedule four narcotic.”

Helms apparently confessed that he had a prescription for the pill but was unable to provide adequate evidence of it then. Cops did not press charges against Helms over the single Soma pill.

On February 1st, 2010, the WWE management instructed the Hurricane to stay home in that addition to the Royal Rumble match, he has been pulled from WWE TV tapings for the remaining week.

Recently Dr. Phil Astin was put behind bars for 10 years after he was caught for prescribing Soma — among other drugs — in huge quantities to wrestlers Chris Benoit and Michael Durham before they succumbed to death.

Dubai police also said a third Palestinian suspect was in custody. The authorities have identified at least 26 other suspects to the alleged hit squad that traveled to Dubai on fake identities and forged European and Australian passports to kill al-Mabhouh.

Dubai authorities have described the assassination as a mix of clockwork precision with spy novel flare. Some of the suspects donned fake beards or wigs, while others disguised themselves as tourists in tennis outfits with rackets in hand.

Earlier this month, police released footage pulled from closed circuit cameras in Dubai's hotels, shopping malls and airport. The video shows members of the alleged hit team shadowing al-Mabhouh from his arrival at the airport all the way to his hotel room.

The police also released a detailed flow chart-style diagram on the suspects' alleged roles in the slaying, and distributed a map showing the numbers of 17 credit cards allegedly obtained by the suspects from financial institutions in Germany, Britain and the U.S.

At least 15 of the suspected killers share names with Israeli citizens, further fueling suspicions the Mossad was behind the hit.

Israel, however, has maintained a policy of ambiguity on the killing, neither confirming or denying involvement.

On Sunday, the country's trade minister, Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, told Army Radio that while he had no idea who killed al-Mabhouh, the slaying shows Hamas that “none of their people are untouchable, they can all be reached.”

The comments from Ben-Eliezer, a former defense minister, were the most direct yet on the by an Israeli official.

He said the results were “immediately translated,” claiming that the leader of the Islamic militant group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, recently disguised himself in a wig on a trip to Syria.

“He understands that eyes are watching him and that is what is important,” Ben-Eliezer said.

The minister's claim could not immediately be verified with Hezbollah, but Nasrallah has largely lived in hiding since his group battled Israel to a stalemate during a monthlong war in 2006.

In one of Israel's few comments on the matter, opposition leader Tzipi Livni last week praised al-Mabhouh's death as “good news to those fighting terrorism.”

Israel says al-Mabhouh was a major player in smuggling weapons to the Hamas militants that control the Gaza Strip. He was also wanted by Israel for the 1989 abduction and killing of two Israeli soldiers on leave.

Sourse:Seafood Salad Recipe

The inspiration for this dish came from a very unusual place: the menu on the wall in Meryl Streep's café in It's Complicated. I always find myself salivating and longing for long picnics on the Pont des Arts whenever I see a Nancy Meyers movie, and this one full of cloudy chocolate croissant reveries was no exception. So when I saw “lentil and shrimp salad” scrawled out across the screen, I thought, “That would make a good column!”

I don't know how Meryl Streep makes her lentil and shrimp salad, but I make mine with Puy lentils, Dijon vinaigrette, and jumbo shrimp roasted with lemon zest and olive oil in a Riviera-hot oven, ticker-taped with bits of sweet grape tomato peeking. I love the French use of lentils—filling as mashed potatoes but far more virtuous, and while I did recently hear my favorite celebrity chef insist that you could substitute any lentil for the dainty, green du Puy, I will have to ask you not to. Brown lentils that turn to mush were created for soup, and green lentils that stay pert after a hard boil were made for salads. Puy lentils are more and more readily available, but truly any gourmet or health food store should carry them, and like the road less traveled, they make all the difference.

I love this salad for being simultaneously extravagant and rustic, dietetic and hearty, earthy and light. The age-old pairing of lentils with seafood gets a happy update, and the perk is the salad can be served hot, warm, cold, or indifferent. A salad for all seasons!

Dijon Lentil Salad with Lemon Roasted Shrimp

- serves 4 -

Ingredients for the Lentils

1 tablespoon light olive oil
2 shallots, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, finely diced
1/2 small carrot, finely diced
1 small celery stalk, finely diced
1 1/2 cups French lentils du Puy
1 bay leaf
A handful of parsley stems (optional)
3 cups water

Ingredients for the Shrimp

12 jumbo shrimp
1 tablespoon olive oil
zest of 1/2 lemon

Ingredients for the Salad

2 tablespoon walnut oil
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 cup grape tomatoes, quartered

Procedure

1. Sauté the shallots, garlic, carrot, and celery in the olive oil in a sauce pot over medium heat until just fragrant and translucent—3 to 4 minutes, because they are chopped so finely.

2. Add the lentils, bay leaf, parsley stems, and water. Raise the heat to high and bring to a boil, then cover, and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes. Then remove the lid, and boil for 5 minutes. Drain the lentils.

3. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 400°F.

4. Toss the shrimp with salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and the lemon zest. Spread onto a baking sheet, and roast for 10 minutes.

5. While the shrimp roast, make the dressing by whisking together the walnut oil, white wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard with salt and pepper.

6. Toss the warm lentils gently with the vinaigrette and the tomatoes. Perch the shrimp on top.

They're cooking up vats of gumbo right now in New Orleans, they've sold countless King Cakes and made a profusion of pralines. They've been partying since the Saints won the Superbowl and it all reaches critical mass tomorrow, Mardi Gras.

French for Fat Tuesday, it's not just cheap beads and anonymous orgying (not that there's anything wrong with that). Mardi Gras is the day before Ash Wednesday, when Catholics begin the Lenten 40 days of penance, prayer and cleansing before Easter. Traditionally, Mardi Gras was a night of eating rich food, the better to endure the lean days of Lent. New Orleans embraced the concept with typical passion. It seems like half the regional recipes start with a cup of heavy cream (not that there's anything wrong with that, either). Somehow, the custom evolved into partying, drinking and eating dirty rice — none of which is exactly sanctioned by the Catholic Church.

Clearly, New Orleans has its own way of doing things. The locals live by the city's motto, laissez les bon temps rouller — let the good times roll — and it comes through in their cooking. Like every region, New Orleans has its own cuisine shaped by what grows there, but also by the people who live there.

New Orleans newbies Brangelina and their babes may have brought the paparazzi, but the centuries-old city's spicy mix of Cajun, Creole and French took the abundant local ingredients, including rice, chilis, greens, okra, mirliton (chayote) and gulf-fresh seafood, and created its cuisine. These people make food that cooks, and they're proud of it. You can't get a fast food burger at the Jazz and Heritage Festival, but you can get New Orleans specialties like red beans and rice, crowder peas and okra and sandwiches from muffalettas to banh mi, a culinary contibution from the Vietnamese.

Food helped unite the city after Hurricane Katrina wiped it out five years ago. Local chef John Besh lost his home and his restaurants but dished out red beans and rice to refugees and relief workers. New Orleans native Richard McCarthy rebuilt Crescent City Farmers Market, now a city-wide, three-day market with local growers and vendors grossing $9 million a year. Katrina also did in the homes and gardens in the city's Vietnamese community, so they created what is now a flourishing 28-acre community garden to grow bitter melon, Malabar spinach and other crops they brought from Asia. They're adding their own layer of culture, tradition and taste to the city. They party at Mardi Gras but yesterday they also celebrated Tet, the Vietnamese new year.

What New Orleans grows, what it cooks comes from love and what Besh calls “an act of stewardship.” Everyone's got a personal stake in this.

Food goes beyond the plate. There's its traditions, how its sourced, its romance and history, the powerful associations it evokes. You can't eat these things and yet they deepen your experience and appreciation of your food. They add their own spice. They make you care. So you can forgive the Mardi Gras madness in the French Quarter tomorrow, because you know everything will be made lovingly, locally, traditionally and liberally seasoned with joy. Food at its source tastes of the spirit of a place and in New Orleans, that means laissez les bon temps rouller.

Down and Dirty Rice

Traditionally what makes dirty rice dirty is the addition of fowl gizzards. Um, no thanks. Chopped eggplant, a Louisiana crop, takes the place of organ meat in this super-satisfying veggie version It's spicy in itself, but you can make it that way. That's what Tabasco is for.

1-1/2 cup rice (white or brown)
5 cups water or vegetable broth, divided use
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium eggplant, chopped
3 ribs celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 tomato, chopped (or 1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes)
2 teaspoons paprika
1 handful fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried)
sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
juice of 1 lemon
1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
optional — 1 cup edamame

Pour 3 cups of water or broth into a large pot. Place over high heat and bring liquid to boil. Add rice and bay leaf and give a quick stir. Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes (brown rice may need an additional 10 minutes) or until rice is tender and all liquid is absorbed. Remove bay leaf and set aside.

May be done a day or two ahead and stored well-covered in refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before proceeding.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped garlic, onion and eggplant. Saute, stirring for 5 minutes, or until vegetables soften. Add chopped celery, green pepper, tomato, paprika and thyme. Continue cooking another 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in rice and remaining 2 cups of water or broth.

Reduce heat to medium and cook another 10 minutes until mixture is moist but all liquid is absorbed.

Stir in salt, pepper, lemon juice and chopped parsley, and for a pop of protein and bright green color, fold in optional edamame.

Serves 6 to 8. Keeps several days in the fridge, flavor improves over time.

Seven weeks after the birth of her adorable son Mason Dash, new mom Kourtney Kardashian says has more important things on her mind than shedding the remaining baby weight.

“It’s been hard to find time to work out,” the reality star tells Life & Style magazine. “All I want to do is spend time with Mason.”

Last month Kourtney called out OK! magazine for doctoring their cover photo to make it look as though she was already back to her pre-baby form. She's not, she says, revealing that “losing the weight has been a lot harder than I thought.”

Though she's already lost 25 of the 40lbs she gained during her pregnancy, Kourtney insists she's been in no rush to slim down.

“Since having him, I don’t care as much what I look like. I gained weight in my booty, my stomach, my thighs and my arms. Everything got a little bigger for sure. I do want to get back to the way my body was before, but it’s definitely not my biggest concern. I feel fine.”

So what's her secret to looking so great in the meantime? A Belly Bandit, which she shows off in the picture above. “Nobody even knows I'm wearing it!” she says.

Kirstie Alley is ready to shed some light — and pounds — on her life in her new reality show, officially announced by A&E Friday morning.

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life premieres March 21 at 10 p.m. with back-to-back episodes, says the network in a statement.

Says Alley, “This show has been cathartic for me…shown me who I really am…again… and it’s really freaking funny.”

Alley’s fluctuating curves have been a hot topic. She famously dropped 75 pounds on Jenny Craig and flaunted her bathing suit body on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006.

But late last year, she returned to Winfrey’s show to confess that she’d gained back 85 pounds, and weighed more than 200 pounds.

“It’s humiliating,” she told Winfrey. “The most painful thing for me is that I have all these people that I inspired and then I let them down.”

In addition to chronicling her weight loss battle on TV, the show will also feature her “producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, True and Lillie [her adopted sons with ex Parker Stevenson], taking care of eight ringtail lemurs, and on top of everything, looking for love — nothing like a little pressure,” according to the release.

There are many different diet and weight loss methods on the internet. Do a google search and you'll literally find hundreds. Some are pretty complex and most involve instating some very boring routines into your life. As I was eating lunch today, I looked down and there was my dog with its eyes all shiny bright eyeing my pizza intently. As I stared at my dog I thought to myself, now there's a weight loss program that would actually be not completely terrible. I'll call it the “Get-a-Dog-Diet-and-Weight-Loss-Program”. Am I serious? Halfway. There is some logic to this idea, despite what seems like absurdity at first. Think about it though, all gimmicks aside, we all know that the only way to lose weight is to eat smaller portions that the western world has taught us and to exercise more than the western world has made necessary. A dog will help you on these things.

The dog always wants some of your food so if you give in and give it a bite here and bite there, you, yourself, will be consuming fewer calories. You'll also be making a good connection with your dog who will like you even more than before. Just don't share your chocolate with the dog. The downside to this is your dog might follow you around even more than previously.

As for exercise, if you play with you dog like you should, you will get more exercise. Play tug-of-war with a rope, chase the dog around, or throw a ball. It's all terrific exercise. Take your dog for long walks. Walking with a dog is less boring that just wandering around by yourself.

If you are anti-social and don't have an exercise buddy, get a dog. They love to walk. Small dogs, terriers and toys, are always energetic. So, not only will you have a walking partner, you'll have one that's always happy to go further. They are also more alert than the average human, so the ability for a stranger to sneak up on you is decreased. However, be aware, dogs will also bark at squirrels and their own shadows so on that note they aren't the best warning system but they are still better than humans at paying attention to the world around them.

The more you play with the dog and walk them, the more exercise you'll be doing and the more likely you are to be losing a little weight without realizing it. Even if you aren't the playful type, you'll still be running after the dog when it steals your favorite pen to devour or runs off with your shoes. So get a dog, in fact get several dogs. It'll be a more entertaining, or at least motivating, way to lose weight.

But all these dogs will cost money to keep you might say? Sure, but their not more than other weight loss methods. You can take that 30 bucks you'd spend on a gym membership and put it to buying their food. Take the 50 dollars you'd spend on some useless exercise equipment with a “as shown on TV” sticker, which let's face it, once you get it you'll use it once and then put it a corner to collect dust and mold, instead put that money towards your dog's rabies shots and heartworm prevention chews. As for the cost to obtain your dog, dogs are only costly if you buy a purebred puppy. You can usually find mixed breed puppies being given away for free, or you can search the local pound and find an adult dog for cheap.

So if you don't have a dog, but think you could stand having one, get one. It's good exercise for you. If you already have a dog, spend more time with it and give it more of your food. It's bound to help you lose a little weight and also you'll have gained a friend. The secret to weight loss is life changes. If you really don't mind hitting the treadmill and feeling like a hamster, then you can follow all those exercise routines online. Personally, I think it's more effective to get something in your life that makes you active. A pet is one way. However there are hundreds of other alternatives. You could also join a sports group or take dance classes. Find something you like to do that makes you active. These are much more meaningful changes to your life than hanging out at home counting reps of odd exercises that put you through motions you never use in real life.

In the United States, gynecologists attribute a leading cause of female disorders and complications to a condition known as bacterial vaginosis. For many women, bacterial vaginosis is commonly under diagnosed leading to prolonged gynecological complications and inadequate healthcare. For women suffering from vaginal discomfort, understanding the cause, origin and symptoms of bacterial vaginosis can lead to a more prompt and efficient health screening and treatment process.

Bacterial vaginosis, also known as BV, is commonly mistaken as a yeast infection by most women. While bacterial vaginosis can seemingly appear harmless, yet irritating, the long term implications are quite significant leading to infertility in some cases. For many women, when typical yeast infection symptoms appear, it is common practice to head out to a local drug store and pick up an over-the-counter yeast infection product. However, before doing so, many women are cautioned to obtain medical advice as the symptoms may be attributed to bacterial vaginosis instead.

So, what is bacterial vaginosis? Unlike the sound of its name, BV is attributed to a lack of infection. Instead, this gynecological condition is attributed to an imbalance of natural vaginal bacteria required for healthy gynecological status. When natural occuring bacteria is in an imbalance, the condition results in symptoms of odor, relatively mild itching and a thin, gray discharge. Unlike a yeast infection which produces significant itching and usually no odor. For many female patients the condition is brought about by sexual activity although the condition is not attributed to a sexually transmitted disease. Instead, it is the sexual activity which results in an abnormal balance of vaginal bacteria, leading to bacterial vaginosis.

To treat bacterial vaginosis, a gynecologist will usually recommend a strong and regular daily dose of the healthy cultures found in yogurt as these work to promote healthy vaginal bacteria. A course of antibiotics, such as Flagyl or clindamycin may also be indicated. While there is nothing on the market that will cure bacterial vaginosis with a 100 percent guarantee, these products will work to keep symptoms at bay and work to restore the healthy balance of vaginal bacteria.

When treated, the recurrence of bacterial vaginosis is quite common. While this is not an indication of anything a woman has done inappropriately in terms of health, it should not be ignored. With more than 80 percent of women suffering from a recurrence of BV, visits to the gynecologist may become quite frequent until the condition is fully resolved and vaginal bacteria is back within normal spectrums. Of important note, especially for pregnant women suffering from bacterial vaginosis, is the risk of complication to the fetus when using Flagyl. As a result, pregnant women, suffering from bacterial vaginosis, should restrict treatment to healthy doses of yogurt coupled with clindamycin.

As with any gynecological complication, women suffering from abnormal health should always seek out the advice and direction of a healthcare professional before purchasing over-the-counter products in self treatment. What may seem to be associated with a yeast infection may actually be a complication far different, requiring a different form of care under's a doctor's supervision. While the condition is not sexually transmitted, without treatment, BV can lead to complications far worse that simple vaginal discomfort.

kidney failure

Filed under Uncategorized | 11 Comments

Other information you can find at Online Pharmacy in Lexington.
Kidney is one of the most important organs as they play a role as an important function in a dog's health. The main use of kidney is to act as a filter of moving waste and toxins. When met with toxins which they don't know how to dispose of, the kidney will act as storage for the toxins. Also, they help with the maintenance and balance of blood, and other chemicals found in your body.

As you can see, the kidney has many functions to help maintain the health. When the kidney malfunctions or experiences kidney failure, the circumstances can be critical. The toxins will not be able to be filtered, and disposed of; thus, there will be a build-up of toxins and wastes which the body does not want. Because it is not being disposed, and building up, it can cause some critical damage to the health of your dog. Also, the blood and other chemicals will not be maintained and balanced normally affecting the overall health one again. Because of these reasons, new toxins and different balances of chemicals will be introduced to your dog's health which cannot adapt easily to these changes.

Some of the symptoms of kidney failure is a difference in urination, whether it is more, less or even none, blood found in urine, lack of appetite, vomit, diarrhea, desire for water due to hydration at a regular basis, stiffness in movements, and, last but not least, a poorer condition of the dog's coat. Although these may also be symptoms of other diseases and illnesses, it can also symbolize kidney failure as well. If any of these symptoms are found in your dog, please consult a veterinarian as soon as possible. Keep in mind that kidney failure is an extremely serious, and possibly even life threatening condition which you don't want to ignore. Although it may not be kidney failure, it can also be the result of some other illnesses, and diseases which you will want to cure as soon as possible to decrease the damage caused.

Basically, the veterinarian will take blood and urine tests in order to determine whether your dog is experiencing kidney failure during the body check. Ultrasound is another test your veterinarian may recommend your dog to take in order to get down to the disease and illness, and get the most precise condition. Other tests are may also be recommended just to diagnose the illness.

If your dog is confirmed to have kidney failure, your veterinarian will take control and prescribe medicines, and other vaccinations. They will give you all the information needed to care for your dog, and help them through this time. Normally, they will add some vitamins and supplement to your dog's diet in order to compensate for the kidney failure. If the kidney failure is much more dangerous, your dog may be asked to stay over at the hospital for extra care like special monitoring, and dog care. Just be sure to follow all of your veterinarian's directions, and do as they recommend you to.

Last but not least, if kidney failure is proven positive, your dog will need to drink lots more water in order to stay hydrated, and compensate for the kidney failure.

MONTEBELLO, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California meat-packing firm has recalled some 864,000 pounds of ground-beef that might be contaminated with E. coli.
The Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Monday that no illnesses have been reported from the products sold by Montebello-based Huntington Meat Packing under the Huntington, Imperial Meat and El Rancho brands.

The affected beef was sold to distribution centers, restaurants and hotels in California between Feb. 19 and May 15, 2008, and between Jan 5. and Jan. 15, 2010.

Huntington did not return a phone message.

Officials say department personnel discovered the problem during a food safety assessment.

E. coli is a potentially deadly germ that can cause bloody diarrhea, dehydration and, in the most severe cases, kidney failure.
